Steeped in History
A Local Landmark
Built on land gifted to Arbroath Abbey by Alexander II in 1244, Ardoe House dates from the 19th century and is set in 30 acres of parkland.
The son of Aberdeen soap merchant – Alexander “Soapy” Ogston – built the house in 1878. It remained a family home until 1947 when it was converted to a hotel.
Our rooms were refurbished to a high standard in 2019. All rooms come with complimentary toiletries and feature a TV and ensuite facilities.
Meetings & Events
With six event suites, plenty of space but a location only a 20 minute drive from Aberdeen city centre, Ardoe House is the perfect location for your meeting, corporate event or family celebration.
