The Hotel
Located twenty minutes from the centre of Aberdeen, Ardoe House is a sympathetically restored Scottish Baronial Style mansion with extensive grounds – a tranquil escape for the discerning traveller.
Steeped in History
A Local Landmark
Built on land gifted to Arbroath Abbey by Alexander II in 1244, Ardoe House dates from the 19th century and is set in 30 acres of parkland.
The son of Aberdeen soap merchant – Alexander “Soapy” Ogston – built the house in 1878. It remained a family home until 1947 when it was converted to a hotel.
